Graduate Research and Projects

Human Nutrition Trial

A dietary intervention designed and implemented to evaluate the effects of a high-protein lacto-ovo vegetarian diet on nitrogen balance and overall metabolic health.

Molecular Nutrition Manuscript

An investigation into differences in liver metabolism between functional and impaired PPAR-α gene receptors in both fed and fasted states, using techniques such as histology, IHC analysis, Bradford assay, and Western blotting.

Clinical Dietetic Internship @ UCSF

Inpatient nutrition management for complex cases. Rotations included Liver and Kidney Transplant, Transitional Critical Care, GI Surgery, and OBGYN Oncology. Completed patient assessments, nutrition focused physical exams, and developed tailored nutrition support regimens, including cycling and concentrating enteral feeding, PPN, and TPN.

Nutrition Research @ Gardner Lab, Stanford University

Designed a research proposal and used RStudio to analyze dietary data from a randomized controlled trial. Presented a poster on the impact of high-fiber diets on zinc and phytic acid intake, exploring nutrient interactions and dietary recommendations during pregnancy.
